Services
Beyond symptoms and behavior, toward real solutions
The Beta Program is a non-medical mental health practice. We do not prescribe or make medical diagnoses. We do provide mental health assessment and, where criteria are met, mental health diagnosis, and we help families reach the medical specialists who evaluate everything else.

Therapy, coaching, and consultation
Approaches are chosen with each family at intake and adjusted as the picture develops. All sessions are whole brain focused, integrating neuroscience, clinical therapy, and root cause analysis.
Individual therapy for children and teens
Sessions build on the child's neurological and developmental history alongside current symptoms. Treatment approaches are tailored during intake, and individual sessions may alternate with parent coaching or family sessions as the work requires. The practice emphasizes the strengths of individual neurotypes and personalities, and does not use compliance-based therapy.
Parent coaching
Practical, neuroscience-informed guidance for parents managing complex behavioral and emotional challenges at home. Coaching supports families who want education and direction regarding their child's needs. It can run alongside therapy, alternate with individual sessions, or stand on its own, and it is available to families outside Connecticut.
Clinical Consultation Package
A deep dive for families who want a shared understanding of their child's presentation and a clear path forward without committing to long-term involvement. The package includes three 90-minute sessions plus file review. Clinical impressions are presented in a written summary during a fourth session, for discussion with your current providers, along with educational resources selected for your situation.
Professional coaching
For clinicians and behavior analysts who want to build root cause capability in mental and behavioral health. Coaching draws on clinical practice, neuroscience, applied behavior analysis, and integrative methods, and is available to professionals nationwide.
Telehealth and remote access
Individual sessions are available by telehealth for families in Connecticut. Consultation and coaching are available to families and providers nationwide. Sessions are held on a private video platform that meets HIPAA security standards.

Before you reach out
Questions families ask first
Do you diagnose?
Yes, within mental health scope. Where DSM-5-TR criteria are met, a mental health diagnosis is made and documented, including through the ADHD evaluation service.
We do not make medical diagnoses and we do not prescribe. When a presentation suggests medical factors, we help families reach the specialists who evaluate them and support the family through that process.
Do we need a diagnosis before we come to you?
No. A significant portion of the families we work with arrive without one, or with several that do not fully explain what they are seeing. Assessment starts from the history rather than from a label.
Do you work with families outside Connecticut?
Yes, for services that are not limited by clinical licensure. Navigation Consultation, parent coaching, professional coaching, and downloadable toolkits are available nationwide. Individual therapy and Clinical Consultation are limited to Connecticut.
How do we start?
By getting in touch. Nothing is scheduled or owed afterward. We listen to what your family is managing, describe how the practice might help, and point you toward the right next step, including when that step is somewhere else.
Can my child's school or pediatrician refer directly?
Yes. We work closely with pediatricians, neurologists, other medical specialists, mental health providers, and school-based teams, and we welcome collaborative relationships around complex presentations.
What if we are in crisis right now?
The practice does not provide emergency or crisis coverage and has no on-call service. If you or your child is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. If the situation is urgent but not an emergency, say so when you contact us and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot do.
