REDEFINING MENTAL HEALTH & BEHAVIOR

Rare & Ultra-Rare, Brain, and Medical Warriors and their Sibling Superheroes.

One of our unique specialties is providing mental health support for those experiencing a medical or rare disease diagnosis, brain injury, or medical trauma. We also strive to support survivors, as well as siblings and family members. Did you know that ADHD looks a lot like PTSD, or that trauma can induce one of the only acquired types of ADHD? In addition to trauma, many medical, brain, rare and ultra rare disorders are inclusive of metabolic and neurological components that can significantly influence mental health. Our team is here to provide the specialized support that our warriors deserve, and to facilitate connections with local, national, and global resources.

Whole Body Healing

Pulsed Electromagnetic Frequency (PEMF) and Infrared Therapy are integrative therapies offered at TBP to promote whole body healing and recovery. Benefits often include reduced stress, increased energy and focus, improved sleep, and improvements in mood. PEMFsessions are open to the public and available for our teen clients. Additionally, we know our families are often stressed and overwhelmed, and that sometimes self-care isn’t easy. We believe so strongly in the power of PEMF that sessions are free for immediate families of clients.

Root Cause Mental Health

We are the “mental health detectives”. At TBP we partner with families to explore the biological factors and important life experiences that can influence behavior and mental health, in lieu of a symptom or diagnostic focused approach. It’s important to us to support, and discover, what might be underneath the symptoms we see on the surface. For those who have been diagnosed with psychosomatic symptoms, we know it’s not “all in your head”.

Here, families are the experts.

Autism, Down’s Syndrome and Birth Injury

The world needs all kinds of minds. Here, support focuses on areas of brain strength, not just areas of brain weakness. Our treatment approach is designed to support the entire nervous system. Our staff is specialized in supporting a wide range of verbal, developmental and physical abilities, communication styles, and individual cognitive needs. Although we offer ABA therapy, we are a strong advocate for neuro-affirming practices both here and in our community, and therefore we do not practice compliance based ABA. Our goal is to provide access to specialized mental health and skill building services, with interventions that incorporate a deep understanding of the brain, birth injuries, chromosomal disorders, and Autism to best meet the unique needs of each child or teen.

TBP is also an approved, independent provider of Mendability, a neuroscience and evidence based approach to improving brain plasticity. Learn More Here
