Welcome to TBP, a leader in redefining mental health and behavior.
Digging Deeper. Healing Smarter. Moving Mountains.
Your Child’s Brain is Trying to Tell You Something
We’re a functional, non-medical mental health practice for children, teens, and families.
We don’t start with a diagnosis. We start with a question.
Most mental health care begins with symptoms.
At TBP, that’s where the inquiry begins, not where it ends.
We are functional mental health detectives. We look at behavior, emotion, and development not as problems to be managed, but as signals pointing toward an underlying cause.
When we find it, everything changes.
We also work with families who don’t have a diagnosis, or who have diagnoses that don’t fully explain what they’re experiencing. If your child doesn’t fit the expected pattern, that’s not a reason to look elsewhere.
It’s exactly the kind of complexity we were built for.
Built for the Families Who have Been Everywhere Else
We specialize in children, teens, and families whose needs are complex, medically intertwined, or neurologically atypical. The ones who don’t fit the standard model. The ones for whom the usual approaches haven’t held.
• Rare and ultra-rare disorders
• PANS / PANDAS
• Brain and birth injuries
• Neuroimmune conditions
• Autism and developmental differences
• Medically complex presentations
• Anxiety, dysregulation, behavioral challenges
• Siblings of children with complex needs
• Parents navigating exhaustion and burnout
• Families without a diagnosis who know something is wrong
We Ask Why
A diagnosis describes what is happening. We investigate why. Our root cause approach looks across three layers — biological, neurological, and experiential until we find an explanation that actually fits.
We Hold the Whole Picture
The brain exists in a body, shaped by a history, living inside a family. We don’t treat symptoms in isolation. We work with the whole child — and the whole family around them.
We Partner With Families
Here, families are the experts on their child. We bring the framework and the questions. Families bring the knowledge that no one else has. That combination is where real progress begins.
We are a behavioral health practice, not a medical provider. No prescriptions, no medical diagnoses.
Just deep, rigorous support.

Designed for nervous systems that need something different.
Most therapy spaces are designed for the provider.
TBP was designed for the family.
The Beta Program is housed in a restored historic home, not a medical facility or clinic. That distinction is intentional. It’s a space that feels like coming home - because it is one. From the moment you arrive, the environment is working with your nervous system, not against it.
Every room is equipped with interactive projection systems. Immersive, calming environments that let you breathe, decompress, and yes, visit the ocean, whether you're mid-session or waiting in the lobby. Two dedicated sensory spaces offer deeper regulation opportunities. Throughout the building, sound abatement, adjustable lighting, quiet nooks, and layered sensory accommodations make it possible for families to feel genuinely at ease.
For families navigating visual impairments, traumatic brain injury, or cortical visual impairment, additional supports are embedded throughout the space — designed in, not added on.
For those who would benefit from added privacy, the building includes multiple entrances and a few hidden doors. Because getting to your appointment shouldn't require navigating an audience.
TBP was designed to incorporate supports and accommodations flawlessly into an existing historical home. The physical environment was designed to support the same nervous system regulation work that happens in the sessions. While the building houses numerous elements to help our families feel safe, the majority are hidden in plain sight.
